PA12+CF15 (polyamide with the addition of carbon fibers) is a technical filament for industrial applications. It is designed for 3D printing in FDM technology for intermediate people and professionals. Application:

The PA12+CF15 filament from Rosa3D combines nylon and carbon fibers, resulting in a product with exceptional durability.

Prints made from this filament can withstand temperatures up to 160°C. They have successfully undergone a double process of powder coating and polymerization in an oven at 181°C for 15 minutes. Due to its properties, PA12+CF15 can be used as a replacement for steel components, allowing for weight reduction in devices or structures without compromising their strength.

PA12+CF15 also offers ease of printing and low shrinkage, thanks to the carbon fiber content. This filament is particularly recommended for professionals and advanced users. When printing with PA12+CF15, hardened steel nozzles are advised (as brass and aluminum nozzles may wear down), with a suggested nozzle size of > 0.4 mm

Recommended printing settings:

  • extrusion temperature: 250-290°C
  • bed temperature: 100-120°C
  • When printing with PA12+CF15 filament, it is recommended to use hardened steel nozzles, as brass and aluminum nozzles may wear out. The suggested nozzle size is > 0.4 mm. Due to the high extrusion temperature, it is also advisable to use a metal heatbreak (without a PTFE tube inside). If issues with first-layer adhesion to the print bed occur, we recommend using an adhesive solution.
